About

Before I introduce myself, I want to commend you for taking the time to seek to care for yourself. The act of choosing to seek that self-care is a huge step in working toward your goals, managing mental health symptoms, and moving toward holistic wellness.

My name is Joy Goldenberg, MA and I have worked for over 8 years in the fields of health and mental health and an additional 4 years as a mental health clinician. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I have worked with a variety of clients ranging as young as 2 years old and as mature as 67 years old. My passion is to walk beside my clients and facilitate setting my clients up for success & awareness of inner strengths. These are achieved through providing a neutral safe therapeutic relationship, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan that propels you toward success. I am dedicated to be there for my clients every step of the way. My hope is to help you heal from your pain, grow from your past and create a future that thrives. I will work alongside you towards your goals. I will help you find the answers you're looking for and the ways to get there. I understand this can be a difficult process and I am here to support and help you navigate through it. I work collaboratively with my clients to detail their future hopes and honor the histories that inform their current experiences and relationships. I use a combination of psychosynthesis, cognitive behavioral, solution focused and narrative approaches to help build insight as well as find solutions and ways of coping that feel practical and effective.

I am passionate about making therapy and support available to anyone who chooses to engage in an act of self care. Whether that is a 10 minute check in for an ear to listen or ongoing deeper foundational work to make the changes you desire.

Remember, there is no magic wand. There is no instant "fix" your situation. The process will take time and hard work on your part to make the changes you want you want to see made. If you're willing to put in the work, I'm willing to walk along side you and work as well!

I look forward to working with you!
