My name is Joy Ferney (her, she), I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters in Social Work in Massachusetts in 2016, however I have been working in the behavioral health industry for the past 7 years . My experience has been a mix of Mental Health treatment and Addiction treatment. My most recent experience has been in a Community Based Mental Health setting providing individual treatment to a diverse population across the lifespan. In that work I provided support with those experiencing addiction, neurological conditions such as ADHD, and ASD, various mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and other trauma related symptoms. In addition to my work with individuals I have been facilitating support groups for those with loved ones experiencing addiction. In these groups we explore the various challenges to loving someone with Addiction such as codependency, setting boundaries and detachment.

My style is warm and welcoming, I believe the most important aspect of the space I share with clients is safety. My approach tends to be client centered and I will often adjust the course of treatment to meet the needs of the client. Utilizing a variety of strength based modalities and cognitive behavioral approaches I work to empower clients to meet their goals of wellness.
