Joshua Taffet is a licensed clinical social worker offering services to adults. He has a vast array of clinical interests; however, he specializes in depression, relationship issues and life transitions. His approach to therapy is personalized, client-centered and emotionally focused. Joshua aims for patients to feel completely heard, understood and on a clear path toward their goals. His philosophy of care emphasizes the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. He has worked with hundreds of adults and couples to identify the root of their issues so they can move forward on a happier, more fulfilling path. Joshua’s interest in mental and behavioral healthcare started at an early age, people would tell him that he was an excellent listener and helped bring clarity to their challenges. It wasn’t until he saw a therapist himself, who helped him navigate his life challenges, that he realized he wanted to become a licensed therapist. In his opinion, there is no greater gift than helping people live their most fulfilled life. Joshua absolutely loves Hawaii, has been there five times and is planning his sixth trip. He was a speaker at “Advocating for Our Patients” at the Fifth Annual Urban Mental Health Conference at Rutgers in Newark, NJ, and has adopted three rescue cats.
