Joshua Joseph, MS, LMHC, is a holistic practitioner of mental health therapy whose work is multi-cultural, compassionate, safe, and hopeful. Josh guides patients through challenges they may face in the present moment, drawing upon a variety of tools and strategies in order to find approaches that support them to grow and move forward. His particular areas of professional expertise and interest in mental health are anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. He works mainly with adolescents and adults, up to age 70. In addition to therapy, Joshua also offers therapeutic and life and career coaching services to individuals, couples, and families at our practice. Joshua undertook his graduate studies at Florida International University, where he completed its Master of Science Clinical Mental Health Counseling program in 2017. He also earned his Clinical Hypnosis Practitioner (CHP) designation in Fall 2017. He trained for his Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner license through Robert Dilts & Judith Delozier; his Master NLP license through Dr. Richard Bandler; and his Master Reiki Trainer certification from the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). His clinical interests also include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Depth Psychology, and Hypnotherapy. In 2021, Joshua undertook specialized training to work with people who identify on the transgender spectrum, and achieved distinction as a Certified Mental Health Provider from the International Transgender Certification Association. Outside of his work, Joshua is a lifelong Miamian, dedicated husband and father of twins, and avid subtropical gardener. He speaks conversational Spanish and enjoys participating in speaking engagements at area schools to connect with young people and parents about current issues and events.
