About
Many people come to therapy because they are unhappy in their lives, and have been for a long time. They may have tried various ways unsuccessfully to solve this painful problem. As a social worker and psychotherapist I appreciate the power of a good relationship to help people solve what sometimes feels like an intractable problem. People usually have both the obstacles and the solutions to this painful situation within them. It's my job to join them in their life journey to help overcome those obstacles and free them to pursue their goals. I draw from several theories, all evidence-based so as to provide the best quality service possible.
I have been practicing, teaching and writing about the helping process for many years in my private practice and in several schools of social work, as an adjunct professor.
