I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 10 years working in mental health. I have worked in a variety of settings including community based supports, hospital units, and private practice. My therapeutic approach is based in a recovery oriented and strength based model. This means that I seek to collaborate to identify strengths, skills, and successes to highlight as a goal or desired outcome is pursued. I have also been trained in DBT and motivational interviewing and integrate these approaches into my therapeutic style. I am a person centered and relational therapist which means my initial primary focus is building a therapeutic relationship and focusing on your experiences and view of the world.
