About
Let’s face it. Life can be very challenging and overwhelming at times. We all experience pain, hurt, loss, and many of us carry deep wounds that may be causing issues in our daily lives. It is part of human nature to get stuck in our thoughts from time to time, mulling over different scenarios, or feeling stuck and unable to make a decision. It is also part of our nature to seek healing, connection, and wholeness. Therapy can be your space to connect, seek guidance, discuss things on your mind, navigate through confusing times, confront challenges, grow and find more peace and balance in your life. My therapeutic style includes using a strengths-based approach because I believe you have the resources within you to grow and face adversity in your life. I also draw upon Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Solution-Focused therapy techniques, which are proven ways to improve your mood. I will approach you with kindness, empathy and good humor. And ultimately, as your therapist, I aim to be in your corner. This means I will be your champion for self-compassion, with frequent reminders to calm your inner critic and to practice more vulnerability and self-acceptance. I identify as a bi-cultural Latina woman and provide services in English, Español and Spanglish. I am committed to being intentional in my practice and am inclusive of people of any race, nationality, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, spirituality, and mental or physical ability. We can explore how your identities intersect, what this means to you, and the way they impact your life. Are you curious about my approach, style, and what it would be like to work with me? I would love to hear about what you’re going through and how I might be able to support you.
