Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 3 years experience working with individuals with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, LGBTQ+ issues, HIV/AIDS, psychosis, and other clinical problems. I currently work with vulnerable populations and therefore have a lot of experience working with trauma and abuse. I got my master's degree in Psychology from Florida International University and currently work with vulnerable adults, LGBTQ+ youth/adolescents, recently diagnosed HIV clients, and youths who have aged out of the foster care system.

I take a non-judgmental and open approach to therapy. I believe it is important to take time to foster a warm and professional relationship with each client. I welcome collaboration with clients to come up with the most effective treatment plan for their specific needs. I encouraged open and honest communication with clients and hope that they can be comfortable enough to address any concerns they may and vice-versa. I employ a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, psycho-dynamic, and solution-focused therapy. Everyone is different and it is important to draw inspiration from many different modalities to tailor a treatment that it right for each individual.

It is my sincere hope that if we work together we can work toward whatever specific goals you have in an efficient, satisfactory, and empathetic manner. My main priority in working with you is helping you achieve your goals and resolve any problems that may be holding you back. I will be a set of fresh eyes to look at problems with you and someone you can bounce ideas off of to provide a different perspective. I believe therapy is most effective when the client and therapist collaborate and work together throughout the entire process. We will be like a team, and together we will set goals and help you through barriers, should they come up. We will also celebrate victories because any amount of progress is a win in my book!
