My approach to therapy is rooted in the core of who I am. That includes a natural curiosity about those I work with as a means of tailoring the treatment approach towards you, your presenting struggles and goals. While my foundation is based in cognitive behavioral therapy, I am a true social worker in the belief of tailoring our treatment to include various fluid treatment modalities throughout our time. Some areas of focus include: Sexual health, solution focused therapy, phase of life, relationship/life stress, coaching and goal-setting therapy. I have a strong belief in self-determination, the resiliency of human beings and the importance of behavioral activation while implementing a strengths-based approach. I believe working with the strengths and abilities of my clients generates a solid foundation to better influence the outcome of our treatment. Some areas I work to develop include: Self-empowerment, self-care, social support and the implementation of mindfulness skills. I keep a general focus on what you want yourself and your life to look like at present and moving forward. I strongly respect and take deep consideration for the biopsychosocial including the influence it may have on your particular circumstances.
