About
I am a psychodynamic and relational therapist who believes that each person requires a unique approach and that a strong therapeutic relationship is the agent for creating lasting change in a person’s life. I have a genuine interest in exploring a person’s past to help inform how their emotional state and behaviors are functioning in the present. I use an empathic lens to establish a trusting, safe space in which you can explore who you are and who you wuld like to become. I have a passion for working with individuals from all walks of life and all age groups, and have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship stress, to name a few. My professional background is varied, having worked at both Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Google, Inc., which me a unique ability to understand and address the many and varied stressors that people can encounter throughout life. By using empathy, by demonstrating interest in your past and current selves, and by displaying genuine concern, I build relationships in order to create individual solutions to individual problems. I believe that self-care is essential, and prioritize physical exercise and healthy nutrition as part of a holistic approach for a happy and balanced life. In addition to psychotherapy, I have spent time as an amateur stand-up comedian, and believe that finding humor is an important skill which can serve as an ice-breaker and a template for one’s general outlook on life.
