As a counselor, I am passionate about helping people find new ways to thrive and overcome difficulties in their lives. I work very hard to help my clients identify meaningful goals that they want to accomplish. I believe that all of my clients have the ability to achieve their goals and my role is to encourage and hold them accountable to put in the work that is required. I believe the greatest skill that any counselor can have is to listen without judgment before speaking.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in Illinois. I have been counseling in both private practice and not for profit agency settings for the past eight years. My professional work experience includes providing therapy to adults with severe mental health disorders and assisting families who have adopted children from foster care. While working in private practice I have provided counseling to clients from a wide variety of backgrounds who are experiencing difficulties such as: relationship issues, anxiety, depression, addiction, lack of motivation, workplace issues, substance abuse, trauma, PTSD, and sexual abuse. I also enjoy helping parents learn new skills and how to relate better to their children.

I enjoy living in Michigan with my wife and three sons. My hobbies include kayaking, fishing, hiking, playing the guitar, and coaching my son's baseball and soccer teams.
