I am currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina (license #12467), as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas (license #79766), and as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. (NBCC) (license #757281).

My trauma- and mindfulness-informed approach to counseling is primarily based upon Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) theories. I focus on the whole person, their feelings, behaviors, thoughts, and beliefs, believing that each individual is capable of self-direction and growth. During sessions, I work to maintain an environment emphasizing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness.

Throughout my four years of counseling experience, I have served both adolescents and adults in individual and group settings. I currently provide individual counseling services to adults with chronic mental illness. This includes clients with diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety, among others. I also work with adults dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma backgrounds. My special interests include the impacts of trauma on mental health.
