About

I am a licensed clinical social worker, licensed to practice in both New York and Colorado. I have been practicing for 8 years, primarily working with children within the child welfare system, families as well as veterans. As a veteran myself, it will always be my honor to provide that unique clinical perspective for those who have served our country. My experience varies from treating those who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect to those struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, relationship discord and difficult family dynamics. I understand how the perfect storm of experiences can impact every aspect of functioning.

I graduated with a BA in Psychology from SUNY Fredonia, and became published in the field of animal assisted therapy. I then graduated from the University of Denver with my Master of Social Work and certification in Animal Assisted Social Work. I truly believe in the therapeutic bond between humans and animals and have found Animal Assisted Therapy to be an extremely valuable resource for those who seek nontraditional types of therapies. If you’re wondering how I would implement AAT in your life through this platform, there are so many ways!
I also gravitate towards expressive and creative arts based therapies. It’s important to me to provide warmth, safety, understanding and unconditional regard to those who share their lives with me. I also utilize traditional approaches to therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused and Client-Centered Therapy.

My passion is deeply rooted in helping people develop tools, skills and insight into their own lives while empowering and assisting them to move in positive directions.
You are the expert in your life, and sometimes all you need is someone to help you navigate!

In my personal life, I own and operate a non-profit farm sanctuary where rescued animals are shown unconditional love and care for the rest of their lives. If you’re hoping to find a therapist who not only speaks about empathy, but also employs it in every aspect of her life, it is my privilege and I look forward to working with you!
