My name is Jonathan Gomez LMFT# 135094. My Specialty areas include Depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, childhood trauma and past trauma, grief and loss, parenting issues, anger management and life transitions. My therapy approaches are mainly Gestalt although I was also trained in psychodynamic and trauma informed care. I Work with adults and teenagers. Bilingual: Spanish. My approach My approach in providing therapy is making sure that our relationship is at the helm. Because I use the Gestalt approach, I work in the hear and now. Bringing what is in our past to the present day and seeing how that impacts our behaviors. My focus I typically work with Adults and teenagers. My communication style I am honest and direct, I like for my client's to feel confident enough to challenge me if necessary. My journey to therapy I love seeing the change in the client. Once change happens, it is like a whirlwind. That drives me to continue to do this work. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative approach between me and the client. We determine the goal and how to approach said goal. My first session with you First session consists of me trying to get to know the client. Expect many questions to be asked with the respect and understanding that not everything will be said.
