I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed School Adjustment Counselor. in Massachusetts. I am currently a professor of clinical practice at the Merrimack College School of Social Work where I teach future social workers and therapists advanced clinical skills.

I have been teaching and practicing therapy for over 30 years and apply a variety of approaches to helping people make positive changes in their lives.

I specialize in working with adolescents, families, individuals and couples who are dealing with issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictions of all types (substances and behavioral). My experience has been wide and extensive: inpatient, community mental health, private practice, where I have applied a variety of clinical strategies.

I apply whatever therapeutic tools might be helpful in assisting clients to grow, change and lead a happier and healthier life. I primarily employ cognitive behavioral techniques, strength-based therapy, but am also trained in hypnosis, EMDR, and other more alternative therapies.

I believe that you are the expert of your own story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that might be challenging you at this time. It takes personal courage to ask for help when one knows that they want to or need to change.

My role is to use my clinical experience to help support, empower, and encourage you in that journey.
