Hi there, I'm Jonathan! My name is Jonathan Borowiec and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) based in Camarillo, California. I work with clients one on one and via telehealth. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples in managing stress, depression, anxiety, conflict resolution, gaining insight, and behavioral modification. My traditional approach is an eclectic merge of psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and somatic therapy to help my clients achieve their individual and mental health goals. My approach I practice an eclectic mix of various modalities designed to support you in your mental health goals. Depending on your treatment goal, I will use CBT and somatic therapy to support body and mind awareness to develop and understand your thoughts, emotions, and needs. I will also incorporate psychodynamic therapy to build awareness around unhelpful patterns of behaviors or relationships and support you in building insight into your sense of self. My focus I have worked extensively in inpatient and outpatient settings with severe mental health needs, trauma, family conflict, addiction, and other needs that lead to feeling out-of-control or hopeless. Due to my background, I work very well with adolescents and adults who are open to receiving help and confronting their life stressors. I help clients make sense of their internal world, find ways to successfully cope, and break free of unhelpful cycles of thoughts and behaviors to lead more fulfilling lives. My communication style I pride myself on my calm, thoughtful, and personable style of communication. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe to open up and share your inner thoughts and feelings without judgment.
