About

I am not the counselor who will sit back listen and say "there, there". Caring feedback, effective tools and reflecting on personal experience are the cornerstones to change. I embrace a collaborative approach that reveals the challenges and learns from the failures that we all encounter. I want you to make an impact on your life and see your potential and the path to your potential more clearly.

I am a licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor I working in Colorado. I have a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove Oregon. I have extensive experience as a counselor and I have an established successful practice for over Ten years. I have worked in behavioral health for over twenty three years specializing in mental health, school aged counseling and life transitions. I have a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Psychology, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Desensitization techniques and Existential "purpose" driven Therapy. I have worked many years in inpatient centers helping ex-military and civilians with PTSD , Substance abuse, and mental and behavioral issues. I have also worked as a school counselor for over eight years with experience in relational issues, learning issues and mood issues.

I approach the client counselor relationship as a learning experience for both the client and I. I appreciate each person's expertise and experience and I look forward to hearing each person's story and approach. I have been influenced greatly by the suffering Psychologist Victor Frankl who believed, "When we are no longer able to change a situation - we are challenged to change ourselves." I strongly believe that success begins with balance and balance begins with self awareness, self direction and purpose. Is it time to make a change?
