I am certified in intuitive therapy and shame therapy for eating disorders. I have extensive training in trauma and grief and loss. I also work with those with chronic pain, depression, anxiety and life changes. I specialize in adolescents and work with adults as well. I also have experience working with those who struggle with substance abuse. I am also a trained licensed hypnotherapist. I draw on CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness techniques. Treatment is tailored to each client, so I focus on getting to know you and how you want to live your life, and what is stopping you. I have experience with Individual, group, and family therapy. I also utilize creative therapies when deemed appropriate; such as play, art, music, and mindfulness. My goal is to be collaborative, supportive, and directed toward goals that are important to you. We will work together to determine the biggest impediments that prevent you from living your life the way you want. We will utilize evidence based techniques to develop skills and understanding that help you live a better life. I strive to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can express themselves. I believe that compassion, empathy and patience are needed with all. I have many years experience working with adults, children and adolescents with mental health issues. I have a genuine concern for my patients.
