I am a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in community mental health. I am licensed in Iowa. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and coping with stress and life challenges.
My therapy style is empathetic and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, and grace. While I avoid using stigmatizing labels, I believe that diagnostic labels can inform treatment. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and person-centered approaches. Typically, I will follow your lead in what we discuss, but I am also willing to lead a conversation on an uncomfortable topic, if you desire. I believe that your treatment plan should meet your unique and specific goals.
