I provide psychotherapy for adults working from a client-centered perspective that is integrative, collaborative, and recovery-based (i.e., incorporates client's strengths as opposed to solely focusing on negatives or pathology). This provides a safe space for clients to feel heard, understood, and respected. I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and have extensive training and experience in working with clients with a trauma informed approach. I incorporate a recovery approach grounded in the 12-Steps for both addition recovery and ACOA/Al-Anon. I am also an expert in working with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and same sex attracted clients, and the unique psychological issues present in the community.
 I have been in practice since 1996 and I have worked with individuals in ages ranging from 18 to 85 years old. I support clients in building positive communication, fostering meaningful relationships, practicing appropriate social skills, utilizing healthy coping strategies, and to establish and maintain healthy boundaries within a culturally sensitive approach in order to generate lasting interpersonal change.

I’m available for online therapy sessions with individuals anywhere in the states of Virginia and New Mexico. I graduated from Medical College of Virginia in 1994.
