About

I am an independently licensed social worker in northeast Ohio. I have been working in the field for over 13 years. I spent over 8 years in Chicago working in a residential addiction center. I was a lead counselor in a co-ed program focused on both mental health and addiction. I enjoyed the diversity of clients and co-workers, but am equally comfortable now living back in Ohio, where I grew up and went to college. I have continued working as a therapist in Ohio the past 4 years working with a variety of clients and issues, including continuing addiction treatment work, mood disorders, trauma, and helping clients cope with the stress we have all been under with the advent of COVID.

My primary philosophy involves understanding and supporting my clients. I believe my clients already have the answers they are seeking, but need to be supported and nurtured for their inherent wisdom to come forth. I am a practitioner of mindfulness and believe this is essential to acceptance and healing. I believe we all struggle with mental health and need ongoing support to be our best selves. We also need someone to ask us the right questions and accept us with all our faults, on a journey to becoming better.
