I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over five years of experience. I am originally from San Antonio where I worked with the San Antonio Police Department Family Assistance Crisis Team (FACT). I have worked in various settings including the Mental Health Court, County Court #12, the Veterans Treatment Court of Bexar County, TX, County Court #6 and in private practice at The McCullough Center for Health Care Services.
I'm a Nationally Certified Counselor and have a background in domestic violence and trauma issues and have started a domestic violence program at the Carr P Collins Social Service Center in Dallas, TX. As a veteran and survivor of domestic abuse I believe I have a unique perspective on issues related to abuse and violence and have spent years working with survivors and helped them through the grief and shame that tends to accompany these incidents. As a male who has survived domestic abuse and violence, I believe I can help other men who may experience the myriad emotions that males may face.
I work from an Existential perspective, helping clients see that their perspective and their emotional reactions can be valid and helping them as a "fellow traveler" on their journey to recovery. I look forward to working with you.
