Hi. I'm John. If you're having trouble emotionally, weighed down by depression, stressed by anxiety, looking for a way forward with parenting, adoption, relationship issues, or wrestling with a life transition. I can help. I began work as a counseling psychotherapist in 1994. Since then I've helped many adolescents, adults, couples, and parents ease their suffering and gain more satisfaction by overcoming problems such as these. My effectiveness as a helper comes from 1) listening carefully to understand your concerns and experience 2) accepting you as you are 3) earning your trust by being a supportive ally to work through the problems you're facing 4) Providing skills training and coaching to empower you to overcome problems and achieve your goals For me, this work is about helping my clients overcome trouble and suffering to begin living the lives they want. My approach is straightforward and built on compassion and evidence-based techniques.
