I recently got licensed in the state of New Jersey due to the high demand of mental health professionals. I find that my work is not only needed in other areas of the nation but desired and sought out. I hope to provide resources and assistance to more than North Carolina residents. I am also licensed in North Carolina with 5 years of professional work experience. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

In the past, I have provided services to at risk youth and families in rural areas. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clinical issues from substance use, depression, anxiety, major life changes/adjustments, and internal/external family conflicts. I take pride in encompassing a culturally competent approach and environment. The role of the therapist/counselor is to help individuals identify and solve problems while actively listening and providing insight to do this. I have training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress, Person Centeredness, Crisis Intervention, Hunger and Homelessness, Mental Health First Aid, Recovery Dynamics and Problem-Solving Skills Training. I find that the needs of individuals in general are far beyond physical. I am an avid believer in the biopsychosocial perspective and wish to treat every individual with the most effective and efficient care while still encouraging them to self-determination.

It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
