Hello! Welcome! My name is JoAnna Knopf. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana and Florida. My clinical background has been quite diverse. I began my career in addictions. I worked with clients in an outpatient setting as well as a faith-based transitional living facility. I also worked in home-based therapy, where I worked with families experiencing a wide variety of difficulties including trauma, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, anger management, family conflict, parenting issues, grief and loss, and sexual abuse.

I am certified in EMDR therapy (trauma therapy) and I am also an EMDR consultant. I am very passionate about walking people through the process of healing from trauma. I have extensive training in helping those with PTSD and Dissociative Identity Disorder. I also have training in sandtray/play therapy (with children), Motivational Interviewing, CISM, and CBT. I also have history of working with veterans.

When working with clients, I believe everyone is an expert in their own lives. I like to help clients explore root causes to current life issues. As a Christian who has done faith based counseling, I can do this on request, although I certainly can and would love to work with anyone of any religion!

I look forward to talking with you! I enjoy watching people grow, learn, love themselves again, and become the person they were created to be as they heal. Therapy is hard work, but we will find joy in the journey.
