Welcome and thank you for viewing my profile page. I am a Christian cis-gender woman and the mother of three teenagers. I have a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling and a post-baccalaureate certification in psychology specializing in play therapy. I am currently completing the required hours to become a registered play therapist (RPT) while obtaining my Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision (CES), with an expected graduation date of July 2021. I am a licensed professional counselor for the state of TX and a licensed clinical mental health counselor for NC. I am an active member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, Chi Upsilon Chi Chapter of CSI, and the National Society of Leadership and Success.

As a counseling professional of nine years, I have the most experience working with children, adolescents, college students, families, groups, individuals, and those in crisis. My theoretical orientations are multiple, including humanistic-existential and solution-focused brief therapy. I use these approaches to look at the whole person while helping clients remain true to themselves (humanistic), increase self-awareness, responsibility, and live more authentic lives (existential) while focusing on finding solutions for issues in the here and now (solution-focused). Regardless of my most often used theoretical approaches, when appropriate, I integrate spirituality and methods that match the needs of each unique client. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, reading, singing, boxing and traveling.
