About

I am a licensed mental health counselor practicing in Vero Beach, FL. I have over 20 years of experience serving individuals in a variety of settings. I have been fortunate to work with individuals and families in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, youth group homes, outpatient substance abuse centers, and in private practice. I have also had the opportunity to work with individuals and their loved ones receiving Hospice care. I received my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at the Nova Southeastern University , and my undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Services at the Florida State University. My approach is person centered and solution focused. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho-education and other evidence-based interventions that are tailored to the person's needs. It is my privilege to help clients become aware of their behavior and underlying beliefs that prevents them from reaching their full potential. Positive change is facilitated by addressing the self-limiting beliefs, fears, traumas, relationship issues and patterns that have developed throughout life. This process makes it possible to discover and strengthen gifts and talents, and to live peacefully and authentically.
