About

I graduated with my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 2010 and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida.

I have experience in working with addictions since 2009 and have also dealt with co-occurring diagnoses. I also have extensive experience in working with individuals who are experiencing various mental health diagnoses. I have worked with both children and adults, though my specialty lies with young adults and adults.
Additionally, I also have experience working with families in crisis through my experience as a mobile crisis therapist. In that role, I helped to stabilize families and youth in crisis by de-escalating the situation and working with the family to create a plan for continued stabilization. I also have experience in working with couples in marital counseling.

My therapeutic style is a client-centered approach and I strive to develop a collaborative relationship with my client to work on whatever he or she would like to focus on at a given moment. I am a solutions focused therapist who works to help clients establish goals and develop the confidence to achieve them. I believe that we all have the ability to work through the concerns and barriers that keep us from becoming who we desire to be and I provide a therapeutic environment of both acceptance and affirmation while seeking to challenge through a direct approach.

My main goal as a therapist is to create an environment where a client can share what is on their heart and mind and have a place to focus on themselves and their inner healing. My hope is that I will be able to assist you on your journey to healing, confidence, and increased insight.
