I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida and both a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a certified school psychologist in the state of Connecticut. My experience has been assisting children/adolescents and adults/parents effectively manage various social/emotional/behavioral challenges. My approach can best be described as eclectic with an emphasis on cognitive-behavior, solution-focused, mindful and reality-based therapies. I believe strongly in the power of self-sufficiency through choice and learning to access one's own internal navigation system; regardless of age.

I feel strongly that counseling should be accessible to everyone and not be an ambiguous or endless process. I seek to assist you in managing your life challenges in an independent and competent manner because I believe that everyone has this ability! I believe that there is an over-reliance within the counseling community to focus clients on the past, on negative emotional states or even on events outside of one's control. While I validate these influences, my purpose is to assist you in the creation of the life experiences that you want in the now.
