About

Hi there, I'm Jessie! Hello, and Welcome! My name is Jessie Stempel, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Pennsylvania. After receiving my degree and training from Columbia University I have spent the last eight years working with individuals and families covering trauma, mental health, and relationship & family dynamics. In my work, I have focused on clinical services for adults, adolescents, and children suffering from the psychological impact of trauma, stress, grief, loss, and family dysfunction. I have provided treatment for mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). My approach My approach to therapy is strength-based, holistic, and eclectic. I have received advanced training in a number of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). I utilize mindfulness practices as well as art therapy and positive psychology in order to tailor treatment to an individual's needs and preferences. Additionally, I have certification in the treatment of anxiety disorders in children, therapeutic responses to disaster & trauma, and behavior management & parent support. My focus I support children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling to manage symptoms related to a mental health diagnosis, life stressors, and past traumas. I have done extensive work around grief and loss, as well as family & relationship dynamics. My communication style I am committed to providing a compassionate and warm environment that is free of judgment for all clients. I believe in collaboration when it comes to therapy and will do my best to ensure that the time we spend together is meaningful, comfortable, and productive. My goal is for clients to feel heard, and to honor where they are in the treatment process.
