Hello, my name is Jessica Tomkowiak. I usually go by Jess. I have experience working with adolescents and adults. I’ve worked as a school therapist, college academic advisor, and resource counselor with active-duty military members and reservists. For the past 6 years, I’ve assisted Navy and Marine reservists in finding good-fit resources related to mental health needs and other stressors. I really enjoy working with a variety of individuals and hearing everyone’s story. We all struggle, but it’s important to find someone who is willing to listen and provide support, without feeling like you’re being judged. I’m someone who will be there to listen and help you see things from a different angle. When we’re able to see things from a different perspective, it helps us find a better solution to the problem. I’m not someone who is going to tell you what to do, but someone who will help you problem solve and find what works best for you.
