Hi and thank you for viewing my profile page.
I am a licensed clinical therapist, located and licensed in Michigan, with 6 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and addiction specialist.
I have worked with clients that have exhibited a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to, addiction and recovery issues, parenting and family problems, depression, anxiety, and traumatic events. I have additional training in substance abuse and use also. I enjoy sitting down with people from all walks of life and have worked with the young and the old, alike.
Early in my career, much of my work was done with those who were incarcerated or those going through the legal system. I truly enjoyed this work and much of my therapy style reflects this. I then moved on to working in a methadone clinic where I learned valuable information regarding many different addictions, as well as recovery. After moving, I joined an outpatient therapy clinic and provide services for people of all ages. I have grown to learn that each person has their unique story, even if they need some assistance in telling that story.
My therapy style is laid-back, friendly- as if you were getting a cup of coffee with someone you’ve known. But I also will interject when needed and give advice, when asked. I enjoy asking questions and working on underlying emotions. I also enjoy listening and have assisted many people in speaking more on their first visit then they thought was possible.
