To keep us all safe, all sessions are now via Video Visits or by telephone. When people are under stress, they often forget about inherent strengths and abilities. I like to remind my clients of who they are and build on those abilities. I work with children (ages 3 and up), teens, individuals and families in the areas of strengthening family relationships, self-harm reduction, parenting skills and helping at-risk teens. My specialties are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), vocational planning, and spiritual development. One of my favorite quotes is, “No one cares what you know, until they know you care.” I believe that change can only happen in the context of radical acceptance, and so it is critical that my clients feel genuinely cared about while we work together. I have a masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Maryland, College Park. I am certified in Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) and am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
