I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with many years of experience. working with various types of individuals. My primary focus has been practicing through individual sessions with those dealing with such challenges as anxiety, depression, anger, and relationship issues. My experience also includes helping those who have personality disorders and parenting concerns. My approach is to provide a judgment free setting which includes a combination of CBT, assignments between sessions, and other approaches as necessary. Encouraging my clients to maintain a journal has been known to be extremely beneficial. I also place great emphasis on self care, as this is known to be difficult for many.
Providing articles encompassing various mental health challenges during session has been beneficial as well.
Lastly, through my experience thus far, utilizing a strength based approach reiterates or assists in helping clients recall or realize their individual strength and potential.
