About
Hi there, it takes a lot of bravery and courage to reach out for support when you realize you need it. I am always honored to be a part of that journey for clients. I consider it a privilege to walk through difficult times with clients and experience breakthroughs. While our sessions may not always be easy, I always honor your commitment to healing and showing up for yourself. I truly believe each individual possesses the strength and answers to each circumstance within themselves, but it is helpful to have a mental health professional to help navigate finding the solutions. My name is Jessica (I go by Jesse). I graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, then received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montreat College. I have experience working with adolescents, foster children, foster parents, substance abuse, and overcoming shame. I also have worked with many mental health diagnoses including personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and co-morbid diagnoses. I am trained in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, client-centered approach, and Motivational Interviewing in my therapeutic approach. I am trauma informed and always approach each session with a trauma informed approach.
I believe in the importance of the therapeutic alliance, which includes authenticity and genuineness from the client and clinician. Through a healthy therapeutic relationship, I believe powerful change can occur and look forward to partnering with you to see your growth, resilience, and healthy changes. If you feel I would be a good fit for you, let's work together and make that happen! Feel free to message or schedule a session with me.
