Hello and Welcome! I am glad you are here; I understand how hard it can be to reach out for support. My aim is to provide or connect you to the best care possible to address your concerns. To help you make an informed decision about counseling services you are seeking, here is some information about myself.
I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Massachusetts with over 10 years of experience in the counseling field in a variety of settings. Over the past 3 years I have specialized in substance use disorders treatment. I also have extensive experience working with people with a wide variety of concerns, including stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral addictions, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, body image concerns, self-harm, post-partum depression, women's issues, LGBTQ issues, infectious diseases, chronic pain, relationship and family issues.
My therapeutic approach is warm, empowering, structured and centered around your strengths and goals. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches. I was trained and have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, medication assisted treatments, 12 Step approaches, and Multicultural Sensitivity. I enjoy using mindfulness skills and meditation as part of my practice and take a holistic approach. I consistently receive feedback from clients that I am a good listener, that I am very calm and non-judgmental, that I keep clients focused on their goals, and overall they "feel better after talking with me." I firmly believe my job is not to give you advice or tell you what to do, but to help you feel informed and empowered to make changes you want to your life .
