Welcome! I am so glad that you are here. I applaud you for taking the step to reach out and seek some extra support at this time. It takes bravery and wisdom to make that decision, and I am confident that our work together on this journey will have a positive impact on your life. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling Supervisor (LPCC-S) and I received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. I have a decade of experience in the field working with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem related issues, relational conflict, parenting concerns, and crisis counseling. I would consider my counseling style as integrative, as I like to pull from a variety of therapeutic techniques such as CBT, solution-focused, mindfulness, etc. I believe that since we are all unique, and have our own histories and experiences that impact who we are, there is not one set intervention that will work for all. Therefore I believe in working together to identify what interventions will work best for YOU! My perspective with my client is that we are a team, I have the formal training in the counseling process and techniques, but you are the expert of you, and therefore your opinions, feedback, and insight are crucial to this whole process. Our work together will be person-centered and strengths-based, filled with compassion, empathy, and non-judgment . While counseling is not always easy, I make the commitment that I will put you and your needs first, to help you receive the best possible care and work along-side you through the challenging issues.
