My professional orientation toward therapy believes that the success of therapy is dependent on the level of trust experienced by the client toward the therapist. Trust is built through compassion, competence and over time. Over the past decade, I have been working to help individuals overcome self-identified goals to improve their life experiences. I believe in being able to successfully navigate the full range of human emotions. I am a perpetual scholar of research related to best practices but understand that as humans, we are complex and unique, with each of us deserving of nuanced understanding. I am trained in trauma-informed approaches and have been both humbled and moved by the opportunities I've had assisting clients in their healing processes over the years.

In addition to my therapeutic work, I have been honored to nurture the next generations of therapists as a social work instructor of multiple courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels for the past ten years.
