About

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor with a specialty in treating gambling disorder in New York State. I believe that the client is the expert in their own life and utilize evidence based practices including motivational interviewing to help clients identify goals and develop and understanding of what solutions may work best for them. My primary focus has been working with clients who have complex trauma, significant depression and anxiety, and substance or other behavioral and impulse control issues - often these clients are facing more than one of these challenges at once.

I believe the most important role I have as a counselor is to develop a trusting relationship so that you can feel free to process your experiences in a non-judgmental environment. I will seek to understand more about your life and experiences in an effort to help guide you in cultivating a path towards your long term goals, whatever those may be. I will check in with you regularly to ensure we are both on the same page and working towards your goals in a way that you feel is helpful.
