If you are looking to find more joy and meaning in your life, improve relationships, manage stress, learn new coping skills, and reconnect with your most authentic self, I want to know your story. You are not alone in this journey. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership where you are the expert in your life experience, values, and strengths while I provide guidance to explore meaning and purpose in your life. We will do the hard work together to tailor therapy to meet your unique goals and needs. You can expect a non-judgmental, empathetic, direct approach during therapy with me. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also incorporate self-compassion, mindfulness, and nervous system awareness in my work. I have been in the social work field for 20 years and have extensive experience helping people explore issues related to depression, anxiety, crisis, relationship conflict, life transitions, and negative self-beliefs. For the past 14 years I have worked as an oncology social worker helping people who are dealing with chronic illness, pain, grief, loss, and caregiver burnout. I also support healthcare professionals to manage compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and work/life balance. I am committed to providing a space that is anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, and social justice oriented. I enjoy knitting, outdoor concerts, trying new restaurants, camping, watching cleaning videos, and baking.
