It takes a lot of courage to begin the hard, messy work of healing. But the benefits are so worth it. You, are so worth it! At times, we find ourselves longing for more. More happiness. More connection. More fulfillment. But we often struggle to attain it, despite our best efforts. I want to help you understand the dynamics in your life and relationships, and develop the tools and insight to create meaningful change. I have an MSW with an Advanced Clinical concentration in Mental Health from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’ve worked in the healing field supporting individuals and families for over 15 years. I’m certified in Trauma Focused CBT, Domestic and Sexual Violence Counseling, and Gottman Couples Therapy. I employ an eclectic treatment approach that is personalized to meet the needs of each client. I love what I do, so I’m always reading about the latest research and techniques. As a wife and mother, I understand the joys and challenges of marriage and parenting, and the importance of boundaries and balance. For me, that includes time outdoors, travel, joyful movement (hiking, dancing, swimming), and making space for laughter and adventure. I’d be honored to help you cultivate systems of care that honor your unique needs, personality, and relationships. Our meetings are a judgment-free zone where you can be seen, heard, and understood; hopefully you’ll leave understanding yourself better too. Come as you are, and feel free to be your most authentic self. If you aren’t sure who that is or what you want, but your discomfort is telling you you’re ready for change, that’s okay. I will provide a safe space – one that is trauma-informed, body peace/HAES-oriented, anti-racist, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming – and lots of support, to help you figure it out.
