About

As a marriage and family therapist, I am specifically trained to provide relationally-centered therapy and interventions for individuals and couples. Therapy should be a space where you and your relationships have the the opportunity to grow and thrive. My personal and professional experience has inspired a unique passion for helping people who are coping with recent losses, including death, divorce, separation, and drastic life changes. Grief is a life-long process and the overwhelming emotions can sometimes foster a sense of powerlessness. Loss of any kind can be disorienting and my hope is to provide supportive and empathetic reflection for clients in their search for a sense of purpose, belonging, and direction in their grief.

I tend to focus on and honor my client's current emotions and experiences because I have learned that healing comes from being present, open, curious and compassionate to one's self in the here and now. However, exploring the past may help us to make sense of the present, so I invite clients to consider what past experiences may have influenced their current symptoms. I believe in trauma-informed treatment approach for all clients and I am clinically trained to provide crisis support for those with acute issues.
