My ideal client is seeking the opportunity to live a fulfilling life but is struggling with a mental health issue and may exhibit various symptoms and experiences, depending on the specific mental health concern. They may experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, or substance use, which can impact their mood, thoughts, and behaviors, leading to difficulties in relationships, work, or school. This client may feel stuck or overwhelmed by their current situation and may seek guidance and support to help them overcome these challenges. They desire to develop coping skills and strategies to manage their symptoms and emotions better. I support clients through developing skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation with the goal of moving clients towards a life involving the capacity for experiencing joy and freedom. I help clients explore relationships among thoughts and behaviors to discover dysfunctional patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors. It's normal to face challenges that can be difficult to navigate independently.
