I have experienced the world of mental health as a crisis clinician, family/couples therapist, addictions therapist, and general individual counselor for over ten years, and one year as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My experience has been vast and through it all I have been humbled by the resiliency of those with whom I've worked. The best part of doing this job is being witness to the growth and success that so many people have been able to discover and cultivate within themselves and am honored that I was in small way part of that journey. My approach to counseling has largely been influenced by the client-centered approach. I understand that while there are a number of approaches available to any counselor, and that I too utilize based on the needs of the client, unconditional positive regard is essential in order for the client to feel safe in therapy and ultimately bring about change.
