It is so great you have reached out to start on the path of growth and self-improvement. Truly one of the hardest steps in this journey is reaching out for support. I’m excited to connect and discuss your needs and supports I might provide. Let me give you some of my background. I went to graduate school at UC Berkeley and graduated in 2004. I became a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2009.  I have worked with the entire spectrum of the population from children to the older adults. I have experience working with and helping people recover from depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi-polar disorder, Schizophrenia and other SMI, substance use, homelessness, self-injury, trauma and child welfare. I am a certified trauma clinician (CCTP) and certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and weave in traditional talk therapy. DBT teaches people skills to cope with, and change, unhealthy behaviors. One of the main tenants of this modality is the idea that we are all doing the best we can with what we have AND we can all do better in our lives. This acceptance of ourselves and the drive to improve moves us through the personal growth journey. Along with mindfulness we can improve self-awareness and begin to see areas we can improve in. It is exciting to start this “work” and I would be happy to walk with you on the journey. It will require commitment, showing up and doing regular “homework”. Making a commitment to yourself is powerful. I will make the same commitment to show up and do the work. Looking forward to partnering with you.
