I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have well-rounded experience working with a diverse range of people. My approach is strongly rooted in a strength-based and a client-centered perspective. As a therapist, I want to help you work toward your goals and utilize the many strengths you already have. With the opportunity to explore the challenges you are facing and learn new skills, there is hope for growth and positive change in your life! I primarily utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach as well as have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and trauma-focused treatment. These methods can help people find ways to manage strong emotions and recover from trauma. The skills in these methods (e.g. mindfulness, distress tolerance, reducing negative thinking) help with a wide range of mental health symptoms people experience as well as with stress management.
