About

I'm Jennifer and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I've worked professionally in the counseling field for over 13 years in both clinical and educational settings. I have experience working with clients who suffer from mood disorders, behavioral issues, perinatal mood disorders, trauma, anger, and grief and loss.

I am trained in understanding the complexities of maternal mental health, family systems, and licensed to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders. I received my formal education and clinical training from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida, graduating with honors and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. My Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology was awarded by The College of New Rochelle in New York. I am a Board Certified Professional Counselor with the American Psychotherapy Association. In addition, I am also a National Certified Counselor with The National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and I received my Holistic Health Coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge training program. Upon completion of my Health Coaching training, I became a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I am an active member of Postpartum Support International (PSI) and a board member of the PSI Florida state chapter and have obtained a certificate of completion in PSI/2020Moms Maternal Mental Health Certificate Training for Healthcare Professionals.

I am also a mom and I'm aware of some of the most exciting moments motherhood brings as well as the challenges moms and dad's face daily. This can include perinatal mood disorders, parenting challenges, parenting a special needs child, and change of life issues. I feel there should be available support and resources for moms and dads. As a result, I obtained a certificate of completion in Post-Natal Diet and Exercise from International Open Academy and received a training certificate in Perinatal Mood Disorders Component of Care from Postpartum Support International (PSI). I am passionate about helping clients explore concerns specific to themselves, and helping them discover the tools necessary for a lifetime of balance. You are not alone!
