Hello and congratulations on making the choice to better yourself - you won't regret it!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have several years of professional experience working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, psychosis, trauma, and developmental disabilities. I also have personal experience with family and relationship issues, trauma, and loss as a foster/adoptive mom. The framework that I like to use is Cognitive Behavior Therapy, or CBT. This therapy encourages us to work as a team to come up with solutions to a wide variety of problems; problems that you will eventually feel confident solving on your own. We'll identify feelings, thoughts, and behaviors associated with an event, examine the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work toward getting rid of unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and replacing them with positive, healthy ones.

As someone who has also participated in therapy as a client, I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with your therapist and to feel like you can trust them. I know that we'll be able to work through the toughest of issues together; I can't wait to work with you!
