About
Jen grew up in a military family and has traveled throughout the US and Germany based on where her father was stationed. Not only does this give Jen a unique insight into military family life as a therapist, but it has also allowed her to become emersed in a variety of different cultures and family styles. Prior to becoming a therapist Jen was a teacher for several years and worked as a volunteer with a non-profit organization. Due to this, Jen feels that she has ample experience in “starting over.” Be it due to a move, new careers, or other life changes, Jen is able to help clients navigate their way. Jen holds dual masters’ degrees one in Marriage and Family Therapy and the second in Forensic Psychology. She has been working as a clinical therapist for over 10 years and has experience with children, adolescents, adults, and conducted individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Due to her level of experience and training she has high client success rates in helping client’s reach their goals. Jen has worked in community mental health, college counseling centers, and in private practice. With these positions she has been able to work with a variety of clients, including but not limited to, those working to overcome depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, and trauma. This includes children in high conflict divorce / custody battles, families involved with Child Welfare Services, and individuals with chronic mental health challenges.
