I have been in practice as a marriage and family therapist for the past 17 years and have especially enjoyed meeting and working with people from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I regard my clients’ personal values, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and gender identity in high regard. I believe that the role of a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive space, and I view counseling as a process of supporting your progress towards resiliency, self-awareness, and increased life satisfaction. I will employ therapeutic techniques which are well researched and found to be empirically valid and effective. In addition to my clinical license, I hold certificates in LGBT Affirmative Psychotherapy and Substance Use Disorders from AAMFT.
